Ingredients
  

  • 1 ⅔ cups All-Purpose Flour
  • cup Bob's Red Mill Potato Flour
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 2 ¼ teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 ¼ teaspoon Red Star Dry Active Yeast
  • cup  Prairie Farms Whole Milk
  • 1 Large  Egg
  • 2 tablespoon Unsalted Butter (Melted)
  • 8 Regular-Sized Sausage Franks
  • 8 Slices Kraft American Cheese
  • 8 Jalapeno (Cut In Half)

Instructions
 

  • Start by mixing warm milk and a little sugar in a bowl. Add yeast, wait 7 to 10 minutes until it bubbles.
  • In another bowl, mix all-purpose flour, potato flour (or more all-purpose flour), sugar, and salt.
  • Melt butter in a separate bowl.
  • In a big bowl, mix egg, milk-yeast mix, and flour mixture. Mix well.
  • The dough will be sticky. Add more flour if needed.
  • Cover and let it rise for an hour.
  • Knead, let it rest for another hour.
  • Divide dough into 8 pieces. Put cheese, sausage, jalapeno, fold dough.
  • Let it rest, then bake at 350°F (175°C) for 18-22 minutes.
  • Let cool a bit. Serve your Shipley's Kolaches warm. Enjoy!
