Once the chicken wings are cooked, they are then tossed in a sauce made with soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, and garlic. This gives the chicken wings a nice sticky glaze that is both sweet and savoury. San Tung chicken wings are best served hot and fresh out of the oven or fryer. They can be served as an appetiser or main course.

How To Make San Tung Chicken Wings

There are few things as crave-worthy as a plate of San Tung chicken wings. The perfect blend of salty, sweet, and savoury, these wings will have you licking your fingers and reaching for more. San Tung chicken wings are best enjoyed with a cold beer or glass of wine. The key to getting the perfect flavour is in the marinade. When it comes time to cook, there are two options: deep fry or stir fry. Deep frying will result in crispy skin, while stir-frying will keep the skin intact but give the meat a nice char. Whichever method you choose, make sure the wings are cooked through before removing them from the heat.

  • 1 piece small onion finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar

Step By Step Instructions To Make San Tung Chicken Wings

Step1

Wash chicken wings in a bowl. Dry the wings with a paper towel after draining the water. All over the wings, sprinkle salt and pepper.

Step2

Fill a bowl with two-thirds of the cornstarch. Make the batter by adding water and stirring. Take the remaining cornstarch and place it on a plate.

Step3

Put a medium-low flame on a frying pan. When the oil is ready to fry, pour in vegetable oil and heat it until it is hot.

Step4

Immediately after the oil is heated, immerse the wings in the batter, then coat them with dry cornstarch and arrange them in the hot oil. If the pan is large enough, you can cook all 8 wings at once.

Step5

Cook for five minutes. Flip the chicken twice or three times. Keep the wings on a plate after removing them from the heat.

On medium heat, heat the oil in a saucepan. Once onions and garlic are tenders, fry for 1 minute, avoiding browning. Add the remaining ingredients and simmer for 5-8 minutes on low flame until thick. Turn off the heat and remove the sauce.
