Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup (All-Purpose) Flour
  • ½ pound Crab Meat
  • 4 tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 8 tablespoons Unsalted Butter
  • 4 cups Pacific Foods Vegetable Broth
  • 1 ½ tablespoons Paprika
  • 2 tablespoons Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Sicilian Seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons Slap Ya Mama Cajun Seasoning
  • 1 Amber Ale – Austin Beer Works
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 4 Sprigs of Fresh Thyme
  • 8 ounce Hunt's Tomato Sauce
  • 2 Bay Leaves
  • 1 cup Frozen Okra
  • 1 cup Celery (Chopped)
  • 1 ½ cups White Onion, (Chopped)
  • 1 Medium Green Bell Pepper, (Chopped)
  • 4 tablespoons Chopped Garlic
  • 1 pound Shrimp Peeled
  • ¼ cup White Wine
  • 1 tablespoon The Spice Lab Sicilian Seasoning
  • ¼ cup Green Onions (Chopped) 
  • ¼ cup Fresh Parsley (Chopped) 

Instructions
 

  • First, bake flour at 415 degrees for 30 minutes to make it golden.
  • Boil crab in hot water for 5 minutes, then put aside.
  • In a big pan, heat oil and butter on medium.
  • After the butter melts, add 1/3 of the flour slowly, and stir well.
  • Let it bubble and get thick for about 5 minutes.
  • Add veggie broth in three parts, stirring each time.
  • Put in Paprika, Garlic Powder, Sicilian Seasoning, Slap Ya Mama Cajun Seasoning, Amber Ale – Austin Beer Works, Worcestershire Sauce, Fresh Thyme, Tomato Sauce, and Bay Leaves.
  • Cook with a lid for 45 minutes on medium-low heat.
  • Cook defrosted okra in oil for 10 minutes in a big pan.
  • Add chopped celery, green bell pepper, white onion, and garlic.
  • Cook covered for another 10 minutes. Set aside, keep warm.
  • Melt 4 tablespoons of butter in a big pan.
  • Add peeled shrimp, and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Stir in 1 tbsp Sicilian seasoning and 1/4 cup white wine.
  • Cook shrimp for 2 more minutes until pink.
  • Take off the crab's shell, crack it, and get the meat.
  • Mix sautéed veggies, seafood, parsley, and green onions.
  • Your Pappadeaux Gumbo is ready to eat and enjoy!
