Cuisine American
- 4 pound grapes red, green,
- 8 oz. sour cream
- 8 oz cream cheese softened
- ½ cup sugar
- 5-6 Butterfinger candy bars full-size
- ½ cup brown sugar
Mix the brown sugar with the crushed candy bars.
Using an electric mixer, blend together the softened cream cheese, sweetened sour cream, and sugar until smooth and creamy.
Add approximately 1/3 of the Butterfinger/brown sugar mixture and mix well. Rinse and remove the grapes from their stems before adding them to the mixture.
Add a thin layer of the Butterfinger/brown sugar mixture to a 9x13 dish or a similar size.
Put the grapes in the dish, then top with the remaining Butterfinger/brown sugar mixture.
Although this can be eaten right away, it's best if it's made the day before and chilled overnight.
- Use fresh and ripe grapes for the best flavor.
- Soften the cream cheese before mixing it with the other ingredients to create a smooth and creamy texture.
- Crush the Butterfinger candy bars into small pieces, but not so small that they turn into dust.
- Chill the salad overnight to allow the flavors to meld together and the Butterfinger pieces to soften.
- Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
