Add salt and pepper to taste. Check the taste, add salt and pepper if needed, and taste again.

- Use high-quality beef broth: The quality of the broth will greatly impact the taste of the gravy. If possible, use homemade beef broth or a high-quality store-bought brand.
- Adjust seasoning to your taste: Taste the gravy before serving and adjust the salt and pepper according to your preference.
- Use a whisk: When adding the cornstarch mixture to the boiling broth, use a whisk to prevent lumps from forming.
- Cook the gravy until it thickens: Keep stirring the gravy until it reaches the desired consistency. If it's too thin, you can add a little more cornstarch slurry, but be sure to cook it for a few more minutes.
- Serve hot: The gravy is best served hot, so time your cooking accordingly.
- Use leftovers creatively: If you have leftover gravy, you can use it as a base for soups or stews, or freeze it for later use.
