Ingredients

  • 2 pounds pork ribs
  • ½ cup Thai sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger grated
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon red chili flakes optional
  • 2 green onions chopped for garnish
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Ribs

  • Preheat oven to 300°F. Remove membrane from ribs. Pat dry with paper towels.

Make the Sauce

  • Mix sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, honey, vinegar, garlic, ginger, pepper, and chili flakes in a bowl.

Coat the Ribs

  • Brush sauce generously over both sides of the ribs. Make sure every part is covered for full flavor.

Wrap Ribs

  • Place ribs on a foil-lined baking sheet. Cover with foil tightly to lock in moisture.

Bake the Ribs

  • Bake ribs in preheated oven for 40 minutes until tender. The meat should start pulling from the bone.

Prepare for Broiling

  • Remove foil carefully. Brush more sauce over ribs. Preheat oven broiler for final caramelization.

Broil the Ribs

  • Place ribs under broiler for 5-10 minutes. Watch carefully to avoid burning. Sauce should be sticky and golden.

Garnish and Serve

  • Remove ribs from oven. Sprinkle chopped green onions and sesame seeds on top. Serve hot immediately.

Notes

  • Use fresh ribs for best flavor and tenderness.
  • Adjust chili flakes for more or less heat.
  • Baste ribs every 10 minutes for extra stickiness.
  • Cover tightly while baking to retain moisture.
  • Let ribs rest 5 minutes before slicing.
