Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup pitted dates
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp water as needed

Instructions

Soften the Dates

  • Soak dates in warm water for five minutes. This makes them soft and easy to blend.

Process the Oats

  • Place oats in a food processor. Grind until you get a fine and sandy texture.

Add Cocoa and Protein Powder

  • Add cocoa powder and chocolate protein powder. Pulse again until everything mixes well together.

Add Soft Dates

  • Add the soft dates to the processor. Blend until they break down and mix with the dry ingredients.

Add Peanut Butter

  • Add peanut butter to the mixture. Blend until everything turns sticky and thick like brownie dough.

Add Honey and Vanilla

  • Pour in honey and vanilla. Mix again until the dough becomes smooth and combines fully.

Adjust the Texture

  • Check the dough. If it feels dry, add a little water. Blend again until it forms a soft dough.

Shape the Protein Balls

  • Take small portions and roll into balls. Make them tight and round using your hands.

Set on Parchment Paper

  • Place each ball on parchment paper. Make sure they do not touch each other.

Chill Before Eating

  • Put the tray in the fridge. Chill for thirty minutes so the balls set perfectly.

Notes

  • Use Medjool dates for the softest and richest texture.
  • Add more water if the dough feels dry.
  • Roll balls in coconut flakes for extra flavor.
  • Use almond butter instead of peanut butter if you like.
  • Store in the fridge for one week in an airtight container.
